Alice P. will always be a part of me. She was a constant shining star in my every day with her huge heart and gentle demeanor. Our love was uncomplicated and unconditional. She chose me at approximate age 2, a patient mother with a litter of 10 pups. She was not abused, but rather neglected, and she stole my heart. We climbed mountains, swam in rivers, played in the snow, lounged in lakes, and shredded mountain bike trails together. When out on an adventure, Alice P was always in 100%, loving life and giving it her all. She brought the same bottomless love to every person she met and left people amazed at the rock solid, wiggly, mass of love. She liked nothing better than meeting new people and giving out a dose of her love to anyone who would take it, she was bottomless. To the end, her love seemed to sustain her through the discomfort she must have been feeling. I am amazed and humbled by the strength and good nature she showed through the 2 knee surgeries and the spleen cancer that she survived in the latter years of her life. Although she slowed down and the walks got shortened with age stiffened knees, her zest for life and her strong will endured till the end. She taught me many lessons in the time we shared and I cannot thank her enough for being there for me always. Alice P. I love you. 2000-2011
